Silk is primarily measured in momme (mm), a traditional Japanese unit of weight specifically used for silk. One momme equates to approximately 4.34 grams per square meter of fabric. A higher momme value signifies a denser and more durable silk.

OUR SILK FABRICS
Silk Chiffon (6-8mm)
Chiffon is renowned for its sheer, ethereal quality, lending a delicate and almost weightless appearance to any design. The fabric boasts a buttery-soft, smooth texture that feels exquisitely luxurious against the skin. Woven using a plain weave technique, the horizontal and vertical threads alternate in a simple, balanced pattern, creating a smooth and even surface. It is the silk fibers, however, that infuse chiffon with its delicate, airy nature, making it the perfect choice for crafting flowing, graceful garments like our Silk Chiffon Blouses.
Silk Georgette (10-12mm) Georgette is a lightweight, subtly sheer silk fabric, though less transparent than Chiffon. Its matte surface, complemented by a gently crinkled texture, provides a distinct, grainy yet soft feel. Woven with a crepe weave, fine silk threads are tightly twisted, giving Georgette more structure and resilience than the smoother, more fluid texture of Chiffon. This blend of texture and strength makes Georgette the perfect fabric for lining our signature Slip Dresses, enhancing both their elegance and durability.
Silk Satin (16-22mm) Satin is celebrated for its lustrous, high-gloss surface that catches and reflects light in the most captivating way.
The fabric is luxuriously smooth and soft to the touch, offering a lightweight, airy feel. The satin weave is defined by long floats of horizontal or vertical threads, which create fewer interlacings, resulting in the fabric’s signature sleek, glossy finish. Its exceptional drape makes satin an ideal choice for the shell fabric of all our garments, adding an elegant fluidity to each design.
